Rothwells' Stone Cottage B&B is situated 120 kms south
of Ottawa and 70 kms north of Kingston in the town of Westport
on the Rideau. This beautiful 1850's heritage treasure
offers views of the Upper Rideau Lake and Foley Mountain.
Decorated
in an elegant style that befits its heritage, the house is
a blend of traditional and contemporary with two fireplaces,
a lovely screened verandah facing the lake and formal living
and dining rooms.
Guests are encouraged to enjoy the Upper Rideau, accessible
from our backyard. One canoe and two kayaks are available. |

Stone Cottage takes care in preserving the Rideau's natural
beauty. We are an eco-aware business; using biodegradable
cleaners, cold wash, no pressing and conscientious use of
A/C and lighting are just some of our initiatives. We would
appreciate your support and cooperation. |

SUMMER
2010
It
is also possible, depending of course on prior bookings,
for a group of friends or a family to rent the whole house
on a weekly basis at a cost of $2,000-$2,500/week.
This includes the use of three bedrooms plus a queen sofa
bed in the downstairs den, fully outfitted kitchen, washer
and dryer and of course the pool.
Pool and grounds would be maintained by staff during your
stay.
To rent the house for a weekend in the summer is $850.

Accommodation
The Rothwells' Stone Cottage features 3 rooms (two with
private ensuite), common living and sitting rooms, an inground
oval pool, shaded verandah and patio overlooking casually
gardened grounds.
We serve breakfast on the verandah in the summer months
or in the dining room in inclement weather. Breakfast includes
juice, fresh fruit, homemade granola, an egg dish, scones
or muffins and tea or coffee.
Dinners served upon request.
Private
reception and dinner party hosting is also available. Please
inquire for details.
